Christian Slater, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst, Antonio Banderas, and Brad Pitt at the Premiere of the Film “Interview With the Vampire” in 1994
“Interview with the Vampire” became a hit in 1994, and it showcased Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, two ’90s heartthrobs. The film also had Kristen Dunst who gained widespread fame after her portrayal of Claudia, the child vampire. She even bagged a Golden Globe nomination.
The film premiered on November 11 at the Manns Village Theatre in Westwood, California. It was a star-studded occasion attended by Nicole Kidman, Will Smith, and Jodie Foster. Oprah Winfrey was there too, but just within ten minutes of the flick starting, the TV maven left disgusted by all the gore and blood in it.
Marlene Dietrich Outside Train Station in Paris With Her Husband in 1933
While Marlene Dietrich has had an incredible career as an actress, she is best known for her off-screen activities. Her philanthropy, androgynous style, and high-profile relationships kept her constant stardom. The photo above has gone viral claiming that the movie star was arrested for wearing pants. This story has been debunked.

Dietrich was not in trouble, and the man on her left is not a police officer but her husband Rudolf Sieber. The press had gathered around the “Morocco” star after she arrived in Paris via train. Yes, her choice of pants was remarkable at that time and it made headlines, but there was no arrest.
“The Chief’s Daughter” Loti-Kee-Yah-Tede From Pueblo, New Mexico in 1905
Carl Moon first learned the art of portraits when he was working at a photography studio. He worked for Fred Harvey and Henry E. Huntington. As an illustrator, he collaborated with his wife on children’s books. In the last three decades of his life, he worked extensively on photographing the Native Indian American community. The entire collection was then divided into seven collections.

The portrait above is of Loti-kee-yah-tede. She is the daughter of the Chief of Laguna Pueblo. In the photograph taken she is wearing a beaded necklace significant to her culture. The complete photo also has her wearing a belt around her waist. Besides photographing the community, Moon also made oil paintings of them.
A Stunning Photograph of Kurt Russell and Mary Kay Place in the Film “Captain Ron” in 1992
The photo is a behind-the-scene still of the film “Captain Ron” with Kurt Russell and Mary Kay Place. Russell stars as Captain Ron an eccentric sailor who is hired by Martin Short’s character to charter a yacht for his family. Turns out, that Captain Ron doesn’t know how to navigate and the yacht is in ruins. Place played Short’s daughter in the movie; she has just gotten engaged.

The movie did not receive good reviews when it was first released in 1992. However, in the mid-2010s, it had a bit of a revival by finding a niche with sailors. Russell contributed much to the Captain’s dressing by incorporating items from his own closet.
The Elk Horn Saloon in Montana in 1915
This picture of the Elk Horn Saloon in Montana was taken in 1915. The property is believed to be built before 1900 and was a two-story males-only establishment. The man standing in front of the bar with his foot resting on the rail is Ed Martin. He was the Sheriff of Fergus County.

Antlers are mounted on the wall and there’s also a Schlotz beer sign. And perhaps a bit scandalous for those days (and even today) there are bare pictures or paintings on the wall. On the floor, a sharp eye can spot white buckets. These are called “spittoons.” They were placed that men were supposed to spit tobacco in.
