A Rare Photo of Helen Mirren, 1967
Dame Helen Mirren has a long list of accolades to her name today. She has an Oscar, a BAFTA, four Emmys, a Tony, and a Laurence Olivier award. But in this picture taken in 1967, her film career was just starting off. In 1967, she appeared in “Herostratus” but it wasn’t until 1980 when Mirren starred in “The Long Good Friday” that she got widespread recognition. For her contributions to drama, she was appointed a Dame in 2003.
Besides her acting career, she is also known for her beauty and is a L’Oréal Paris ambassador, starring in several campaigns for them. In 2022, she walked down the runway at Cannes for the makeup brand.
