We reckon every model knows that there is a chance that you will eventually take a tumble on the runway. The important thing is how you handle it when the time comes. After all, even the best stars of fashion have had their moments of disrepute.
We think a great example of this is can be found at the 2008 Z Spoke By Zac Posen show. Just take a look at this fashionista’s amazing recovery from a catwalk mishap. If more people had an attitude like that after encountering a problem the world would be a better place!
Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief Show – 2010
At the 2010 Fashion for Relief show by supermodel Naomi Campbell, model Agyness Deyn took not one, but two falls during the event that was aimed at benefiting the devastation that struck Haiti after yet another hurricane.
After going down for the second time Agyness decided that enough was enough and removed her footwear before finishing her routine. Despite not being in high heels anymore, the runway star still ended her part of the show with a zesty attitude! What we wouldn’t give to be able to recover from an accident like that with such style.
Anthony Vaccarello – 2012
During the 2012 Anthony Vaccarello show we witnessed that there is sometimes comradery between fellow models.
When this lady went into a flat spin after a bit of a trip her colleagues sprang into action and rescued her from dire straits. One would think that this would be the normal reaction, but apparently, this is a rare occurrence in the cutthroat world of high fashion. We’re on the side of decency, though, so we have nothing but respect for the two cat-walkers who assisted their companion. Thank you for setting such a wonderful example, ladies!

Imagine being part of an iconic supermodel’s event at the age of seventeen. Surely that is any up-and-coming future catwalk star’s dream.
Well, that’s what happened to teen model Lindey Wixson and it seemed that everything was going to be peachy. However, fate would not let Lindsey have all the glory at the 2011 relief show hosted by Naomi Campbell. The aspiring cat-Walker took a splendid dive much to the dismay of herself and the audience. Maybe this was the universe’s way of reminding her to stay humble in the coming years.
Seccry Hu Sheguang – 2014
In yet another bout with ridiculously tall shoes, we see this model at the 2014 Secry Hu Sheguang fashion show going through the motions of losing the battle with gravity.
We have to give her props, though, as she looked quite gracious in that red bodysuit with her stunning kimono-like shawl fluttering behind her! Of course, no one wants to take a runway tumble, but if you’re going to you might as well try and look as good as this lady did while she was on her way to the floor.
