Epic Runway Fails: Even Models Can’t Walk In Those Shoes!

Zac Posen – 2008

When model Karen Elson took to the runway during the 2008 Zac Posen fashion show taking a fall was the last thing on her mind. For her, it was going to be just another day at the office of designer trends.

However, the universe had other plans and during Karen’s walk, she stumbled. But all hope wasn’t lost, as one brave soul reached out to help her. Who was this angel, you ask? Well, it was none other than famous rapper Sean Combs who lent her a hand and assisted her with a graceful recovery!

Herve Leger – 2009

Being a model is much more dangerous than you might think. One of the culprits responsible for a number of hazards is, of course, high heels. Now we know that most women, especially models, are experts when it comes to strutting their stuff in this type of footwear, but add a runway and things get serious.

Take, for example, this model at the 2009 Herve Leger show whose shoes said “There is no way you’re staying upright on this surface…” Well, that’s what they would’ve said if they could talk.

Z Spoke By Zac Posen – 2008

We reckon every model knows that there is a chance that you will eventually take a tumble on the runway. The important thing is how you handle it when the time comes. After all, even the best stars of fashion have had their moments of disrepute.

We think a great example of this is can be found at the 2008 Z Spoke By Zac Posen show. Just take a look at this fashionista’s amazing recovery from a catwalk mishap. If more people had an attitude like that after encountering a problem the world would be a better place!

Givenchy – 2015

During the 2015 Givenchy fashion show South African model Candice Swanepoel slipped while wearing a pair of high heels. But that isn’t the interesting part. It’s what happened next that grabbed our attention.

We don’t know if it’s the fact that she was wearing a lacy black dress or that she’s a beautiful woman, but whatever the case may be, several gentlemen immediately sprang into action to rescue the catwalk star from a dreary fate! We’re glad to see that even in the modeling industry chivalry isn’t just a myth.

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief Show – 2010

At the 2010 Fashion for Relief show by supermodel Naomi Campbell, model Agyness Deyn took not one, but two falls during the event that was aimed at benefiting the devastation that struck Haiti after yet another hurricane.

After going down for the second time Agyness decided that enough was enough and removed her footwear before finishing her routine. Despite not being in high heels anymore, the runway star still ended her part of the show with a zesty attitude! What we wouldn’t give to be able to recover from an accident like that with such style.
