Biggest Anchor And Reporter Bloopers That Will Go Down In History
No Days-Off For Moms
Who says a mom can’t juggle her career and her kids? KABC meteorologist Leslie Lopez gave a new definition to this when she remained calm and composed while presenting a report in 2021. She didn’t expect that someone so adorable would walk on set and greet her!
To make the moment more adorable, Lopez lifted her then 10-month-old child Nolan without breaking her fourth wall, continuing with her report with class. She did acknowledge that her husband was on “babysitting duties” at the time but because the little one could walk, he found himself in.
Bird’s Nest on TV
Reporting can become a mundane task for senior anchors, but time and again, there are many incidents at work that can still entertain anyone. In 2018, employees of the San Diego station KFMB had an interesting day when a 10-year-old scarlet ibis Sophie perched on the anchors’ heads, much to their surprise.
Apparently, Nichelle Medina was telling the viewers about the additional members of the San Diego Zoo when the bird decided it was time to appear on camera. She obviously handled it well unlike her colleague, Eric Kahnert. Ibis are long-legged birds that mainly live in wetlands.
Take Me for a Walk, Hooman!
One of the reasons people don’t like watching the news is the rampant violence and injustices that may leave them desensitized. A great way to hook the viewers is by having animals as guests on the show, although the caveat is that things may get rowdy, such as what happened to the program “Global Edmonton” in 2014.
The Canadian show invited the Edmonton Humane Society but when it was time for the weather forecast, the dog Ripple couldn’t help but waltz in on the segment and even interacted with him! The pooch clearly wanted to play with Mike Sobel, who only laughed at the incident.
