Biggest Anchor And Reporter Bloopers That Will Go Down In History
Buckle Up
During commercial breaks, there are a lot of things happening in a TV program — from re-touching the celebrities’ makeup to fixing the set. Needless to say, things must return to their normal situation once the break is over. Unfortunately for Australian star Samantha Armytage, there wasn’t enough time to fix her belt during a commercial break in 2014.
“Sunrise Breakfast” viewers saw how her co-host David Koch seemed to be holding something on her waist, which he acknowledged was a wardrobe malfunction that happened because she sneezed. Lucky for Armytage, she found a savior in her colleague, especially on air.
Eyeglasses Please
Teleprompters are often used in news programs as they help anchors read and look at the camera at the same time. Despite the tool, there are still times when reporters and hosts would mistakenly read words, and sometimes, the blunder is so bad that viewers don’t easily forget about it.
Just take a look at Holly Pietrzak of Virginia’s WDBJ7, who accidentally dropped the “F” word instead of saying “luck.” She did manage to keep a straight face in the middle of the reports and apologized the following day but, of course, the instance would forever be ingrained in viewers’ minds.
Bug Is Here to Do The Reporting
It was such a fine day and Fox 59 weather forecaster Jennifer Ketchmark was just typically reporting when something totally bizarre happened. As her crew panned to the view of a sunny Indianapolis, a huge hornet made its presence felt by landing on the camera lens.
This expectedly shocked Ketchmark, who screamed and left the frame for a while, and the viewers. The reporter was able to keep her calm later when she resumed her task, seemingly showing that not even a terrifying bug could stop her from fulfilling her job.
