Barbi Benton – 1950
The American former model, actress, and singer Barbi Benton first appeared in the limelight in 1969 by gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine. “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” was the first TV series she appeared in that thrust her into the entertainment industry.
Her exploits in music earned her a nomination for the Academy of Country Music Awards in 1976, while her on-screen appearances earned her a TV Land award in 2007. The songstress released six studio albums, with her debut, “Barbi Doll,” enjoying commercial success. Long retired in 1986, Barbi’s last major on-screen appearance came in “The Love Boat,” which hit screens the following year.
