American professional basketball athlete, Elena Delle Donne, played under Delaware Blue Hens for four years and is a proud player holding three gold medals for her country. She earned one at the 2011 Universiade in Shenzhen, took home another at the 2018 World Cup in Spain, and the other one at the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro.
Delle Donne continually showed her grit playing the sport when she was awarded the Most Valuable Player in 2015 and 2019. She later played in college and was voted “Player of the Year.” Teeming with success, she also had some endorsements with Nike and DuPont.
