Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most respected basketball players in history. In 2021, he joined the NBA 75 Team, an honorary list of legends, in recognition of his outstanding career. His success in the sport is reflected in his sprawling Florida mansion, which he sold for $28M in 2018.

The lakefront estate includes 13 bathrooms,12 bedrooms, a recording studio, a movie theater, an aquarium-shaped room, a 6,000 square-foot basketball court, a 95-foot-long pool, a tiki-style cabana, and a sunken hot tub. When O’Neal purchased the abode in 1993, it was only 23,000 square feet, but after several additions, it had grown to 31,000 square feet.

 

Dennis Rodman – $1.1 Million, California

Dennis Rodman is a celebrated retired basketball player and peace ambassador to North Korea, famous for “Double Team,” and “Rodman: For Better or Worse.” Back in the late ’90s, he owned a one-acre Sadie Hill Ranch home, which he sold for a whopping $1.1 million within a year of purchase.

With the help of architect Richard Landry and interior designer Joan Behnke, they built a sprawling, environmentally friendly mansion costing $11.75 million.

The 18,298-square-foot property featured two solar panels to provide energy, a moat and bridge at the entrance, and a pool shaped like a lake. Reclaimed materials were used to decorate the interior, aiming to be as sustainable as possible. In 2014, the couple sold their sanctuary to Dr. Dre for an impressive $40 million.      

Patrick Mahomes – $2 Million, Missouri

Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Matthews have made this Kansas City ranch house their home. The couple purchased a 1953 built, 4,343-square-foot property in February 2019 for something between $1.75 million and $1.9 million. With 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, the house is situated on a 1.4-acre lot. After extensive renovations, the property is now worth over $2 million.
