Big Names From The Past Blessed With Long Lives: Check Out What They’re Up To Today!
Phil Donahue – 1935
Journalist Phil Donahue is best known for his namesake show and is considered a pioneer in the daytime talk show program. Interestingly, he has a degree in business administration, but his stint at the school’s WNDU-TV station was what gave him a career. He loved pressing guests about social matters and was one of the first to discuss issues like this on air.
Unfortunately, the King of Daytime Talk’s MSNBC show went off the air in the 2000s due to low ratings. Today, Donahue hasn’t been seen much on TV, but he leads a quiet yet blissful life with his wife, Marlo Thomas, in Manhattan.
