Emma Thompson – 1959
Coming from a family of actors, it didn’t come as a surprise that Emma Thompson, who boasts numerous accolades under her belt, followed the same path as well. After graduating from college, she started her acting career in the 1987 mini-series Fortunes of War. The star became a household name five years later for her portrayal of Margaret Schlegel in Howards End, for which she won BAFTA and Oscar awards.
Fast forward to 2021, and Thompson continues to take the industry by storm. After playing The Baroness in the 2021 picture Cruella, she will next be seen as the mean headmistress Miss Trunchbull in Matilda.
